Etsy For Animals 1st Birthday Bash - 20% off participating shops!

In addition to being a member of the wonderful EtsyBloggers team, I am also a member of Etsy for Animals and we have an exciting event coming up soon!

From September 15-30, Etsy For Animals (EFA) will be celebrating their 1st birthday and over 150 fantastic Etsy shops will be offering 20% off (excluding shipping)! Click here for a list of the participants from the EFA website. Our shop, BeadedTail, will be among those participating! To get 20% off, just enter our coupon code, BEADS, and shop, shop, shop! You can use the code in ALL participating shops, however, the code is good just once per shop so be sure to get everything you want at that time.

All you have to do to use the coupon is put "EFA birthday bash coupon code BEADS" in the notes to seller for ANY participating shop and then either wait for a revised invoice or pay and get a refund. There are different codes for every shop in order to keep track of who brings the most people to the sale, so if I'm the first person you've heard about this sale from, then please use my code in any participating shop but if you got someone else's code first, then use theirs. Be sure to pass my code on to anyone else you know who might enjoy this sale. If you have questions, feel free to send me an Etsy convo at any time!

Mark your calendars and be sure to check out the great shops of the EFA members and find wonderful things for you, your family, your pets and don't forget holiday gifts!

Happy Birthday!

There should be candles and cake for the shop owner of Melissa Meman Designs today!
Join us in wishing her a happy birthday!

Mini Monday Liebling Designs

Congratulations Liebling Designs. Your are the etsyBloggers Team Mini Moday Spotlight!

Liebling Art Craft's has moved to her new venture at Liebling Designs. Statement Jewelry For Unique People. Liebling's Blog is a beautiful boutique-like atmosphere and layout. Sincerely focused on style and design, with stories from her life's experiences. Very sophisticated, yet simple, fresh, crisp. Liebling made her move from Leibling Art Crafts' to Liebling Designs debut August 25, 2008 while working with a graphics designer to rebrand her shop.

"Right now I’m consumed with researching and securing some good ad space for the upcoming holiday season, rebranding and drawing up line sheets to pitch my work to some retailers for wholesaling and consignment, and prepping and mailing press kits to editors. Along with designing and promoting the new fall line that’s a lot!"

Jessica currently lives and works in Minneapolis, MN and has been designing jewelry at her home studio for several years. She is striving to grow her newborn company to place her jewelry creations in the hands of women across the globe that have an eye for fashion and a desire to stand head and shoulders above the crowd.

Mini Monday - Create A Thought

From the profile of her Etsy shop this Michigan based artist shares the vision behind her shop and her work-

Everyday you are creating thoughts. Thoughts that are interesting and beautiful, profound and deep, silly and funny. Whatever your thought style is, they should be recorded.

CREATEaTHOUGHT's mission is to help you do just that. I provide items that fit your personal writing and recording style. If you find that you are in need of a different style I will strive to create a personalized item just for you! Each journal is created to be unique and one of a kind.
I want to be able to provide you with something that is not mass produced. You will not have to worry about someone saying "I have that same journal!"

She continues by letting us know-

I also sell many other fun and unique items(because I like making things, and like to try making new things at least once!) such as cards, purses, magnet, frames, prints, and many more! You can request personalized items at any time!
Check the store because I am constantly adding and updating the items!

To learn more about this artist you can check out the blog or catch up with her on Flickr or take a look at her place on Myspace.
When you do tell her the EtsyBloggers sent you!

Birthday Minis

Three birthdays of team members in the last week! Hope they all had wonderful days!
These birthday greetings brought to you by Cozy.

Mini Monday - Jersey Girl Design

"A self proclaimed craft addict, dabbling in Jewelry design, knitting, graphic design and illustration, card making, scrapbooking, and anything else that I can think of! "

Shop: .: Jersey Girl Design :.

Blog: .: Jersey Girl Design :.

Lauren Brownlie- Proprietor

Lauren, a Baltimore based jewelry designer joined Etsy February 2007 and later the etsyBloggers Street Team April 2008.

Lauren said that she is an aspiring designer and illustrator working to put together her first portfolio, while attending the Art Institute for a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration. This busy lady already has a marketing degree from Virginia Tech. She has always loved to create, and claims career ADD. Oddly (pun intended), Lauren is an "even numbers" fan, apparently biological. 2,4 6,8, who do we appreciate? LAUREN!!!

Mini Monday - Faerie Rebecca

Welcome to Toys From Nature~~beautifully handcrafted dolls, toys and playthings in the Waldorf tradition. Featuring the 16" Waldorf doll, as well as lovely needlefelted creations for the nature table and beyond.

This is the greeting awaiting you in the shop Toys from Nature by our team member in the spotlight today, Faerie Rebecca. The shop is filled with beautiful dolls and the artist's needle felted works.

Blessing Bowl in Ocean Blue

There are times in my meditation practice that I just need a place to *put* something, be it a special stone, a blessing, some herbs, or thoughts that just won't leave my head until I write them out. I created this blessing bowl figurine to be my keeper of those stray thoughts or wishes, holding in her lap what I need or want to get out of my head.

How many of us could not use something like the Blessing Bowl above in our daily lives? The beauty of the Etsy shopping experience is shown in this description as well. This shop is an outstanding example of how you can get to know the artist and the thoughts and motivations behind each piece of art or craft.

This California based artisan explains how she feels about the concept of buying directly from the artist or crafter in the introduction of her shop policies.

One of the best things about purchasing from an individual over a larger store is the quality of the service. Because you're buying directly from the artist, you can ask questions, get custom options, etc. I welcome your questions and requests--I want this to be a wonderful transaction for you that goes beyond just a transaction. My goal is to develop a relationship with my customers, and the first step is outstanding customer service!

As always on this team there is a blog for further reading and peeking into the life and thoughts behind this wonderful shop. When you stop by for a visit with Faerie Rebecca let her know the EtsyBloggers sent you.

This week the mini is brought to you by Cozy.
