Was it the rain, that made us sleep in today? Was it the rain that made the day go by fast? Whatever the reason, let's just hope that Dizzy is having a great birthday today, and even if I'm almost late, know that you were thought of today! Happy Birthday gal!

Blog Carnival for September 10, 2010
EtsyBloggers participating in September 10th's Blog Carnival were invited to select one of the topics below, and to write a post about it:
Topic 1: Are you in the first quarter of your life (up to age 25), second quarter of your life (up to age 50), or 3rd quarter (beyond age 50)? Describe your goals and dreams for your current "quarter." How have they changed over time?
Topic 2: Describe someone who influenced the person you are today, or who motivated you to do something. Explain how this is so. Is this a positive or negative?
To see EtsyBloggers' responses, visit Judy Nolan's blog HERE.

Wonderful Warm Wishes to our Birthday Gals!
If school has started, can fall be far behind? Fall is my favorite time of year, with the leaves turning colors and the air getting that nip in it! While it's not here yet, we do have some wonderful Etsybloggers whose birthdays are here! So pop on over to their shops and wish them warm birthday greetings!

Mini Monday: Tapestry316
Kathleen shows her beauty through her art, love of nature, and love of God. When you view her beautiful paintings in her shop: http://Tapestry316.etsy.com, you will see how she has managed to combine all of these attributes into her life and her paintings. She also calls on her many memories of the past as inspirations.
I am in awe of the perfection of each horse she has painted. My close friend works in a barn and owns a quarter horse, so I have come to know the beauty and the distinction of each breed which she captures in her many different paintings of horses. As Kathleen says, “I have loved art as long as I have loved horses.” A quote from her profile, says a lot about the person she is, “May all your days be filled with wonderful moments that become beautiful memories’!
Living in the country, with her two horses, Kathleen raised her daughter; and now has two little grandchildren (both girls) and is presently awaiting the adoption of her third little grandchild.
Being in the country surrounded by nature’s beauty, she is also inspired by all of God’s hand in the creation of life and nature. Her many painting’s of horses, and animals are offset by the beauty of her other paintings such as the Clouds, and “Moonrise”. Kathleen also does sketching; I particularly like her sketch of the little girl.
Finally, Kathleen leaves us with this scripture from the Bible:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
